These breakfast sets are quite special to me as they have been sustainably made using the oat husks from The Merry Mill  organic porridge that is in the set with them. In my final year of college  I started to research using materials that are around me and I researched how the Chinese used rice husks to make glazes.  I decided to do an Irish equivalent with oat husks.   The kind people of the Merry Mill in Vicarstown gave me enormous amounts of husks and I made this glaze with them.  They have been so generous and supportive and  even went as far as using my bowl on their packaging.  They also make the most delicious porridge I’ve ever eaten. So, when you use this set you will be eating  the finest, organically grown oats from a bowl made from  those very oats.
